Bloomsburg Cross Country Team Competes at Penn State

STATE COLLEGE - The Bloomsburg University cross country teams competed at the Penn State National Invitational on Saturday. The Huskies took 10th place in the women's race while the men placed 13th.
Leading the way for Bloomsburg was freshman Angela Borealo (Easton/Easton) who placed 39th (23:12) in a field of 172 runners. Ashley Shuck (Milton/Milton) placed second for the Huskies running the 6K race in 23:28 while finishing 46th. Rounding out the women was Amber Hackenberg (Middleberg/Middleberg) who took 50th place in 23:36.
On the men's side, Justin Shepherd (Cranberry Twp./Seneca Valley) placed 19th (26:19) out of 209 runners, leading Bloomsburg. Dan Tallarico (Pittsburgh/North Hills) added a 70th place finish in 27:59 for the Huskies.
Bloomsburg will travel to Slippery Rock next Saturday for a 10:00 a.m. race.
